Adam Slomski is the founder of the (Unofficial) US Consulate in Wroclaw. He was born in Poland, but he spent most of his adult life in Chicago, where he studied at Wright College and worked as an entrepreneur . He finished his bachelor's degree in social studies at the University of Silesia in Katowice and his MBA at the Warsaw School of Economics.


Currently he manages a firm which sells investment-grade precious metals. His is married and has one daughter. He is still interested in economics and has written a blog on the topic for several years.


He believes that if everyone tried to improve even a small piece of his or her local reality, the world would be a better place. Helping Americans in Wrocław is his idea for following this rule in his own life.
